Reaching out to begin therapy is a meaningful decision. I’m honored you’re considering taking this step with me, for yourself or your family.
I’m a Licensed Social Work Associate specializing in working with teens, adults, and families through life’s most challenging moments. Whether you’re wrestling with anxiety that won’t quiet down, stuck in a depression, navigating relationship struggles, managing ADHD or executive functioning challenges, processing trauma, facing major life changes, or dealing with sexual health concerns – I’m here to walk alongside you.
My approach blends warmth with honest directness. I believe in creating space where you feel truly heard while offering gentle challenges that spark real growth. Drawing from evidence-based methods like Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, attachment theory, family systems work, and mindfulness practices, I help you build practical tools to apply daily.
You’ll find our sessions a judgment-free zone where open expression isn’t just welcomed – it’s encouraged. I believe you deserve to feel genuinely seen and supported. My clients describe our work as collaborative because that’s precisely what it is: we’re partners in your healing journey. People often tell me I’m empathetic and thoughtful, but I’m most proud of the passion and enthusiasm I bring to this work because I genuinely love what I do.
My therapy journey started here in North Carolina, where I first felt called to help others. After earning degrees in psychology and sociology, I built a career in human resources before transitioning to advocacy work with families whose children have special needs. This work opened my eyes to the unique challenges families face and led to my current role as a family partner with North Carolina’s Department of Health and Human Services.
These experiences were stepping stones toward my true calling: becoming a therapist. I earned my Master of Social Work with a clinical mental health focus, then completed an intensive year-long fellowship in child, adolescent, and family behavioral health to sharpen my clinical skills.
Finding the right therapist is deeply personal – it’s about more than credentials or techniques. It’s about feeling understood and supported in a way that makes real change possible. If what I’ve shared resonates with you, I’d love to explore how we might work together toward the life you’re seeking.
